We are excited to be inviting the students of The University of Calgary to the next Canadian Undergraduate Computer Science Conference (CUCSC) hosted at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) this year! CUCSC is an annual research conference tailored to undergraduate students in the field of computer science. The conference will be take place Wednesday, June 22nd to Saturday, June 25th of 2016. The central theme of this year’s conference is applied research.
CUCSC aims to create an inviting and diverse environment where undergraduate students will get the opportunity to network, learn, and display innovative projects. The primary focus is on students who have completed industry projects, solved real-world problems, or have a topic of interest in the field of computing and want the opportunity to showcase their passion to their peers. In addition, participants will get to hear from professionals representing research initiatives from both post-secondary institutions as well as within industry.
Some of our keys events include: student panelists, a Women in Computer Science Dinner, key note speakers from industry, and a hiring event. The CUCSC committee will be planning leisure activities and socials that bring attendees to popular spots in Vancouver to keep students engaged and excited.
