Hello World!

How’s the semester so far? Hope you’ve all been keeping up with your schoolwork, and that everything is going smoothly!

We’re gonna jump right into it today, we’ve got a request for some IT support! United Way and the Calgary Public Libraries are working together this year to help organize Low Income Tax Clinics! I know, this isn’t particularly related to CS, but volunteering is something we can all use, and if you’ve never done taxes before, this is a great way to get some experience in it! If you’d like more details, contact nicole@makingfaithmatter.ca, and let her know you’re interested in volunteering for the tax clinic!

We also have received word of a networking event coming up! You know how I am when I’m given a blurb, sooooooo

Lastly, we’ve been contacted by a new upcoming club, called Lift Up – Entrepreneurship and Innovation! They’re currently recruiting members for their executive team for 2017/2018, so if you’ve got a great idea, an interest in entrepreneurship, or want to abuse power as a executive in a club(definitely not me, and definitely not recommended), hit them up! You can reach out to them at liftup.innovate@gmail.com, with a deadline application of February 8th!

That’s all for now everyone!

Until next time,

CSUS, out.

January updates!
