As promised this hit back will contain all the info about how to apply to be an exec and the responsibilites of each position.

 

THE OFFICES |

The office of Internal shall be:

  • Responsible for the daily maintenance and management of the CSUS office.
  • Required to restock CSUS with its operating resources when running low or upon request.
  • Ensuring that the CSUS office remains in functional and orderly state.

 

The office of Public Relations shall be:

  • Responsible for facilitating the communications between CSUS and its external parties which includes, but is not limited to, other clubs (both faculty and union ran), department affiliates, professors, potential sponsors, and the student body.
  • Required to create and manage media representing the society and its events. This is includes, but is not limited to, E-Mail newsletters, social media, the CSUS website, and the CSUS bulletin board.

 

The office of Finance shall be:

  • Responsible for preparing a budget.
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the society is appropriately funded.
  • The maintenance of CSUS-related monetary assets which includes the online bank account, cheques, the cash box, and the safe so that they are sufficient for events held in its year.
  • Taking inventory, and reimbursing spending done on behalf of the society by the other members of the executive team.
  • Ensuring that they have obtained the signing rights from the previous Finance and President executives.

 

The office of Academic Events shall be:

  • Responsible for the organization of events design around the purposes of learning.
  • Overseer of the delegation of responsibilities and roles for its related parties only under the grounds of the event.
  • Maintain close collaboration with staffers related to said event.
  • Responsible to draft a template in regards to the event when possible to ensure its re-usability in the future.

 

The office of Non-Academic Events shall be:

  • Responsible for the organization of events designed around the purposes of fun, relaxation, and quality of life.
  • Overseer of the delegation of responsibilities and roles for its related parties only under the grounds of the event.
  • Maintain close collaboration with staffers related to said event.
  • Responsible to draft a template in regards to the event when possible to ensure its re-usability in the future.

 

The office of Hackathon shall be:

  • Responsible for the organization and management of the annual CalgaryHacks Hackathon.
  • Coordinating with experts for assistance in the formation of the event with peoples including, but not limited to, former executives, MLH representatives, industry experts, etc.
  • Maintaining social media in regards to the event.
  • Ensuring the appropriate delegation of tasks to assisting parties.

 

[CSUS] EXEC POSITION 2018-2019 | HOW TO APPLY |

We’ll be taking in applications starting March 26th – 30th. It will be a walk-in based application process, you’ll have to come to our office MS130, get an application form and return it within the hour of receiving it. The application will have fields for you name, year of study, positions being applied for and the most important one, why you want to be a CSUS exec.

After we’ve gotten all our potential candidates in, voting will commence April 2nd – 5th. Again the voting system will be walk in based, if you applied to be an exec yourself you are still allowed to vote.

***RULES FOR THE ELECTION***

  • MUST BE A CSUS MEMBER
  • ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ATLEAST A CPSC MINOR
